About Us

AdVantage Academy is an independent, informational knowledge hub about Google Ads. We are not Google, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by Google. Our aim is simple: help beginners and small business owners understand Google Ads well enough to make sensible decisions, avoid common waste, and measure what actually works.

What we cover

We cover keyword research, campaign types, bidding, Quality Score, budgets, ad copy, conversion tracking, audience targeting, and the mistakes beginners make most often. We also publish free planning tools, including a budget calculator, a ROAS and profit calculator, and a keyword planner and tracker. Our guides are for learning and planning. They are not a promise of sales, leads, or a particular return on advertising spend.

How we write our guides

Every guide starts with a question a real beginner would ask, such as “How much should I spend?” or “Why did my ad not show?” We answer in plain language first, then explain the detail. We show our working: when we use numbers, we show the calculation, and we label estimates as estimates. For example, a $900 monthly budget at $1.50 per click is 600 clicks, not a guaranteed result, because actual CPC and click-through rate depend on competition, location, and ad quality.

We also write from practical experience with small campaigns: starting narrow, checking the search terms report, adding negative keywords, testing one change at a time, and letting conversion data build before handing control to automation. When advice depends on your situation, we say so, and we explain the trade-off rather than giving a single rule for every business.

Our editorial standards

  • Be clear about what is a fact, what is an estimate, and what is opinion.
  • Do not promise results, rankings, or income.
  • Update guides when Google Ads changes a major feature or name, and correct errors when we find them.
  • Keep advertising and editorial content separate. This site does not currently run Google AdSense, and we will disclose advertising clearly if that changes.
  • Recommend tools only when they help the reader, not because a tool paid for placement.
